Dolphin Celebrates

from $22.00

Dolphins surprise us when we least expect it by jumping through crashing waves and circling up to dive for fish or swimming in pods along the oceanfront. I often walk out to the sea and a dolphin spirals or tail flaps the water as if to greet my arrival. They are highly intelligent beings and can sense large schools of fish or danger in the distance and communicate with each other. Excursion boats run daily packed with dolphin watchers who can be heard joyfully celebrating as dolphins surfing the waves are sited from cruise boats. In this photograph the dolphin celebrates the sunrise with an unexpected jump as the clouds open for a moment to shine yellow light across a silver blue sea at Rudee Inlet in Virginia Beach.
